At Ladybird Provisions®, we intentionally craft each Coffee Bomb® and Dry Bomb® with specific ingredients to provide a variety of potential health benefits, from boosted metabolism to immune support to mental focus and more. Here’s a look at some of the key ingredients we use in our products and why we chose each one.

Organic virgin coconut oil

An important ingredient in our Coffee Bombs and Dry Bombs is organic virgin coconut oil. This minimally processed ingredient is a whole food that contains medium-chain triglycerides or MCTs. The body easily digests MCTs and burns them for energy rather than storing them as fat, providing a metabolism boost, as well as support for healthy brain function and focus.

Virgin coconut oil also contains fatty acids that are shown to be antimicrobial, antibacterial and antiparasitic, helping to support a healthy immune system. It can also help fight inflammation, reduce the “bad” kind of cholesterol, and increase satiety which can lead to eating less throughout the day.

Grass-fed butter

You can’t have butter coffee without butter! Grass-fed butter is an important ingredient in our keto-friendly Coffee Bombs. Yep, real, full fat, delicious butter. All butter is delicious, but not all butter is created equal. When possible, it’s beneficial to use grass-fed butter vs. regular butter. Here’s why:

  • Compared to regular butter, grass-fed butter has higher amounts of vitamin K2 and a better ratio of healthy fats, such as omega-3s and CLA.
  • Vitamin K2 is a form of vitamin K that promotes bone and heart health
  • Grass-fed butter contains more of the antioxidant beta carotene than regular butter. Beta carotene has been linked to a reduced risk of several chronic diseases.
  • Grass-fed butter is higher in unsaturated fatty acids when compared to regular butter. Unsaturated fatty acids have been linked to heart health benefits
  • Grass-fed butter may contain up to 500% MORE CLA per serving than regular butter.

Grass-fed bovine collagen peptides

Grass-fed bovine collagen peptides are another key ingredient in most of our Coffee Bombs. Collagen serves as a great source of protein that’s highly absorbable in the digestive tract. It also contains amino acids that help support healthy skin, hair, nails, joints, and ligaments.

Organic hemp protein

Our Peace & Hempiness Coffee Bombs are our vegan option. Instead of using grass-fed bovine collagen peptides and grass-fed butter, these Coffee Bombs are made with organic virgin coconut oil and hemp protein to fit your vegan diet and lifestyle.

Medicinal spices

We add a variety of medicinal spices to our Coffee Bombs and Dry Bombs in order to create specific flavors as well as provide even more health benefits. Check out the benefits of our organic spices below:

Organic cacao

Organic cacao provides a delightful chocolate flavor to our Happy Cacao Coffee Bombs, Holy Cacao Coffee Bombs, Peppermint Mocha Coffee Bombs, and Cacao + Himalayan Sea Salt Dry Bombs. Cacao has been shown to stimulate the production of endorphins, which elevates mood and increases energy. For this reason, cacao has been used as a medicine for thousands of years to treat mild cases of depression. Cacao is also a great source of antioxidants and minerals.

Organic ceylon cinnamon

Organic Ceylon cinnamon adds a dash of spice to most of our Coffee Bombs and Dry Bombs options. In addition to enhancing the flavor of our products, organic Ceylon cinnamon may help regulate blood sugar in the body and fight inflammation.

Organic vanilla

Organic vanilla may have antidepressant effects that help you feel calm, balanced, and support an overall feeling of wellbeing. Vanilla also contains antibacterial properties to help your body prevent infection as well as antioxidants to help protect your cells from free radicals.[i]

Organic cayenne pepper

Organic cayenne pepper adds a spicy kick to our Holy Cacao and Peace & Hempiness Coffee Bombs. Cayenne may help increase metabolism and help you burn more calories, improve digestive health, and help you feel full. It’s also full of antioxidants like vitamins A, C, and E and well as B vitamins, potassium, iron, zinc and more.[ii]

Pure maple sugar

To add a hint of sweetness to some of our Coffee Bombs, we use a touch of Pure Maple Sugar. Pure maple is high in antioxidants and other minerals lacking in traditional Western diets. In fact, it offers a higher antioxidant value per serving that raw tomatoes, cantaloupe, and raw cabbage. Pretty sweet, huh!

Organic chai spice blend

A delicious blend of organic Ceylon cinnamon, organic cardamom, organic ginger, organic nutmeg, organic clove, and organic black pepper. This mixture is full of antioxidants and helps enhance the immune system. It’s also specifically designed to support digestion and gut health. This can be found in our Chai Latte Dry Bombs.

Himalayan sea salt

In addition to enhancing flavor, Himalayan sea salt provides sodium, which helps the small intestines absorb amino acids, water, glucose and chloride.[vii]

L-Tryptophan

We’ve added L-Tryptophan to our Dry Bombs - making it a complete protein! Collagen naturally lacks L-Tryptophan (an essential amino acid), making it an incomplete protein on its own. By adding L-Tryptophan as an ingredient in our Dry Bombs, we have become the only collagen creamer supplement available that’s a complete protein.
